At BIO Japan 2023 held in Yokohama on October 12th, Bayer Yakuhin co-hosted a luncheon seminar with Kobe City. Bayer Yakuhin will strengthen its support for startups through the new "Co.Lab" activity.
Bayer Yakuhin introduced its activities to activate the drug discovery innovation ecosystem and its global incubation facility "Co.Lab" and attracted more than 100 participants.
Andrew Wong, Bayer Co.Lab Global Head, gave an overview of the support for startups at Co.Lab Cambridge in the US, which opened in May 2023, and its global expansion.
Next, Nobuhiro Kazama, Head of Collaborate to Cure Hub Japan, introduced Co.Lab Kobe, a domestic incubation facility that was rebranded in October 2023, and a mentoring program which is currently under preparation.
Finally, Mr. Kozo Mori, Director, Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster Department Planning and Coordination Bureau Kobe, introduced Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster and its latest status, as well as the collaboration with Bayer Yakuhin.
